At Kingston General Hospital, we provide quality service in a timely, efficient and considerate manner.
As the largest diagnostic imaging department in our region, we provide a number of specialized procedures that are used to diagnose diseases and conditions as well as to monitor your treatment or recovery. These tests and examination techniques include general radiology, interventional radiology, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound as well as computer topography and nuclear medicine. To find out more about these tests and others, please visit our types of imaging page.
Most of the procedures we provide require an appointment to be booked through the Imaging Department. Due to high-demand, there are wait times for these procedures, however, we will work with your primary health care provider to find a time that is appropriate for the type of care you require. Appointments are not required for general x-rays, which can be done between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. For more information about appointments, including how to prepare for an appointment, please visit our appointments section.
We are located on the ground floor of the Kidd Wing and can be accessed through the hospital’s main entrance on Stuart Street. After entering the main lobby walk straight ahead to the Kidd hallway, turn left, go past the Donor Wall and we are located through the first door on your right. Volunteers are also located inside the main entrance and can help you find your way. If you are planning to enter from another hospital entrance you can review our hospital map. If you have questions or would like more information about our department and our services please call us at 613-549-6666 extension 2301.
