Our Approach
Two key principles inform all learning at KGH:
First, it’s all about the patient.
Because we strive to provide outstanding care to every patient that comes through our doors, we put the patient at the centre of everything we do. And that includes learning. Everything you’ll learn here will help you raise your standard for the care you provide to the people you serve.
Second, we’re all in this together.
Delivering patient care is a team effort. And everyone here, from the most experienced doctor to the first-year student, is part of that team.
With this in mind, we’re creating a broad, rich educational experience that crosses boundaries and spans disciplines. By encouraging interprofessional collaboration, we’re expanding our ability to work together, build stronger relationships and improve the way we care for our patients.
Our Learners
Over 2400 students choose KGH every year to build their clinical skills, deepen their scientific knowledge and develop the interpersonal abilities they need to deliver outstanding patient care. But learning at KGH isn’t just confined to students. Because we believe that learning is for everyone, we consider everyone in this hospital a learner.
