Media contacts
The Communications & Public Affairs department is available to the media 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The media must contact the Communications & Public Affairs department for:
• Patient information and/or patient condition statements
• Interviews with patients and/or families
• Interviews with staff, physicians, students and volunteers or others working with or in the hospital
• Hospital access
• Photography, audio or video recording on hospital property
Patient information and patient condition statements are available any time providing written consent has been obtained and the information is readily available.
Hospital administrators and clinical experts are generally not available outside of regular business hours (8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday). Communications & Public Affairs will follow up these requests on the next business day.
Communications & Public Affairs will make every effort to provide requested information prior to the media's deadline.
Regular media requests
During regular business hours, members of the media should contact one of the Communications & Public Affairs representatives listed below. He or she will ensure your call is directed to the most appropriate person for action.
Urgent media requests
Outside of regular business hours, including statutory holidays, members of the media should contact Switchboard at 613-548-3232 and ask to have the on-call Communications & Public Affairs representative paged.
