Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Online Training

We are pleased to share with you the following benefit of Kingston General Hospital's (KGH) membership with Network of Network's (N2): an online Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training program.  The program currently includes a Protection of Human Research Subjects GCP curriculum but will be expanded by the end of 2010 to contain a Responsible Conduct of Research curriculum as well as a Basic Biomedical curriculum.

Anyone working with human research subjects or using their personal health information data for research at KGH is encouraged to sign up with CITI Canada and complete the GCP online training program.  To do so please go to www.CITICANADA.org and create your own unique username and log in.  Select Kingston General Hospital as your institution or organization.  If you are also a member of one of the other organizations listed, you can add them to your list in addition to KGH.  Each institution will then receive confirmation of your completion of the program.

Completion of the course can be done at your own pace.  There are 12 modules in total to complete.  Each module takes 20-30 minutes to complete and there is a quiz at the end of each module.  You will need to receive a mark of 80% or better in each module to complete the program.  Once you have completed the program, you will receive notification and a link to a certificate for your records.

If you have any questions or need assistance with setting up your account, please do not hesitate to contact Veronica Harris-McAllister at (613) 549-6666, X3653 or harrismv@kgh.kari.net.
