We work with the Department of Family Medicine and the Department of Emergency Medicine to support the delivery of psychiatric care within the region. We make our consulting services available to all adult courts and provincial correctional facilities in Southeastern Ontario.
We contribute to the clinical education of undergraduate medical students completing their core psychiatric rotation and for delivering Royal College mandated core experiences to psychiatric and pediatric residents. We also provide clinical education experiences for emergency and family medicine residents as well as allied health and nursing students.
We are active in the research community, organizing, conducting and collaborating in multidisciplinary research studies and clinical trials. We are recognized for our research contributions, including collaborative studies and clinical trials as well as several significant interventional outcome studies.
