I work with many skilled people in the large Core Laboratory. We work together, co-operatively, each person depending on each other to accomplish their own work and many more people depending on the labs for timely results. I enjoy the vitality of my work environment!
I knew when I started at KGH, that I was joining a workforce the size of a town where open communication is encouraged. I have a voice in this town thanks to the KGH Intranet, which is a wonderful resource for everybody.
It’s an exciting time at KGH with renovations and innovations occurring, all supporting the health and life of people. As well, I love the city of Kingston. As I make my way to work along King Street, I get to see one of the most picturesque areas in the region!

Kingston General Hospital is an enjoyable place to work. I’ve met lots of people and made lots of friends.
In the 35 years since I started, I’ve worked in the kitchen, as an orderly and in housekeeping. I like environmental services because I’m able to interact with staff and patients. What we do is all about patients and it’s good to know I’m helping and making them smile.
I’ve enjoyed seeing the tremendous changes at KGH over the years and by embracing these changes, the hospital continues to progress.
