As Director of Finance, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will oversee the timely and accurate preparation of the internal financial reporting and KGH’s annual operating budget. You will support operations and clinical program areas, working in close partnership with your peers and colleagues across the hospital. Remaining current on hospital funding and finances, you will advise colleagues and management on how best to deliver on KGH’s financial and strategic goals. You will oversee the development of the annual clinical education, capital, and cash flow budgets and corresponding reporting requirements in addition to managing the full audit process. Working closely with the CFO, you will set team priorities and provide leadership and support to the Managers of Financial Reporting, Payroll, and Accounting as well as Financial Analysts within the Financial Services department.
As the ideal candidate, you hold an undergraduate degree in Commerce or Business as well as a professional accounting designation in good standing (CGA, CA, CMA). You have developed a solid base in hospital finances having held progressive managerial positions in a comparable and complex healthcare environment. Persuasive, pragmatic, and analytical, you are known for being highly innovative and creative and for having strong interpersonal abilities and excellent written and oral communication skills. Your comfort and experience overseeing the integration and use of advanced technologies and information systems will serve KGH well as it continues to modernize its operations. Having managed high performing teams in the past, you are considered to be an effective, hands-on mentor and confident leader who invests time and effort in the development and support of people.
