Reporting to the Vice President, Medical Administration, the Director provides vision and leadership in the development and delivery of the Patient Safety and Quality Program at KGH, including accreditation, quality frameworks, the quality improvement plan and critical incident safety coordination. The Director works collaboratively with organizational leaders to facilitate the identification, development, implementation and monitoring of corporate quality improvement initiatives that ensure both direct and indirect care providers are continually improving the patient experience.
 
As an ideal candidate, you possess a Masters degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or a related clinical discipline and a minimum of five years of hospital/related health management experience. Highly strategic and innovative, your demonstrated knowledge of patient safety, quality and continuous improvement methodologies will allow you to function as a key resource on safety and quality to KGH’s operational and clinical leaders. Politically astute, collaborative, proactive, hands-on and dynamic are all adjectives that peers would use to describe you.  An engaging and persuasive leader adept at overcoming obstacles to success, you bring demonstrated experience managing change and an ability to facilitate consensus that will allow you to create a culture of accountability and foster a new and shared vision for Patient Safety at KGH.
