DEPARTMENT: Patient Care Programs – Connell 5/Kidd 5 (Labor & Delivery/Maternity)

TITLE: Registered Nurse (1 Part-Time Position)
HOURS OF WORK: Rotating shifts

DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction of the Manager or delegate, the R.N assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of assigned patients utilizing the Combined Care Concept as applicable within the Total Patient Care Model.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Advanced Neonatal Life Support Certification within the last 2 years preferred.
• One year experience within the last three years in maternal-child nursing preferred.
• Labour and delivery experience within the last 2 years.
• Completion of courses in antepartum, intrapartum or postpartum nursing care an asset.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and communication skills, coupled with the ability to work on a multidisciplinary team an asset.
• Knowledge and competence in CPR.
• Proven ability to attend work regularly.
• Satisfactory criminal reference check required.
