TITLE:                               Pharmacist (1 Full‑Time Position)

DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the Director, the pharmacist is responsible for the identification, resolution, and prevention of drug-related problems using an interdisciplinary approach. The Pharmacist also ensures that drugs are procured, stored, prepared, prescribed, dispensed and administered in a safe and effective manner.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • B.Sc. in Pharmacy. 
  • Residency in Hospital Pharmacy Practice or a minimum of two years experience in hospital pharmacy practice.
  • Experience in direct patient care, drug information, pharmacokinetic, investigational drug use, and computerized drug order entry.
  • Pharmacists must obtain a license to practice Pharmacy in Ontario 18 months after the start of employment at K.G.H.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, courteously, and tactfully with all types of people.
  • Proven ability to attend work regularly.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
The incumbent will be required to meet the physical demands as described for the area of work.
