Getting Started on Your Research
Setting up your research program or starting a study? Consult this handy checklist to make sure you are covering all of the necessary steps for getting your study underway.
KGHRI works closely with University Research Services at Queen's.
- Develop your research proposal, budget, and supporting documentation.
- Seek assistance with a research methodologist, biostatistician and/or research facilitator from our Clinical Research Services.
- Consult early with hospital departments impacted by your project to ensure your research proposal can be carried out in a hospital setting and/or your budget adequately reflects the true cost of the research occurring.
- Familiarize yourself with hospital and university research policies.
- Seek necessary funding to support your research.
- Obtain necessary certifications for your research:
