Since its inception in 1905, the Auxiliary, once called the Women’s Aid, has made an incredible difference to the hospital and how it delivers Outstanding Care, Always. The impact of the volunteers’ time and fundraising efforts are substantial and exceptional. Today, over 300 Auxiliary members promote and uphold our mission to:
- Provide volunteer auxiliary services to Kingston General Hospital to improve patient care as requested by the hospital administration in liaison with the Director of Volunteers and the President of the organization.
- Raise funds for Kingston General Hospital to be allocated in a manner satisfactory to the Administration of the hospital and the Auxiliary and in harmony with the planning of the community.
- To advance education by providing funding for educational programs at Kingston General Hospital
The Auxiliary has established itself as a vibrant and important part of the hospital recognized by KGH Senior Management, staff and the community. We reach out to patients and visitors everyday. We demonstrate through our daily work our organization’s commitment to the hospital.
