We always welcome and encourage non-members to volunteer in our fundraising areas and on our special activities, such as the Bazaar and Teddy Bear Campaign. You can call the Auxiliary Office if you are interested in getting involved in this way. To volunteer in one of our fundraising areas, such as the Gift/Tuck Shops, Cafe, HELPP or Lottery Booth, you will need to complete the formal volunteer application process through the Department of Volunteer Services. If you want to get involved with the Auxiliary in a more active capacity, we are always looking for members to take a more important role in Auxiliary affairs, which includes taking on a leadership role. However, there are many other ways to be a valuable member. You can attend any or all of the three General meetings during the year, which take place in March, September and November. These events include informative speakers, and/or the Annual Meeting and Awards ceremony which is held in June. Meetings also include a lunch which is available at a reasonable cost. You may choose to attend the whole meeting, or just a specific portion if you are interested. Our meeting schedule is:
Board & Council Meetings - Held in September, March and May at Tompkins Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m.
General Meetings - Held on the last Monday of October & March at 11:00 a.m. location Cooke's-Portsmouth Church Hall
Annual General Meeting - Second Monday of June at 11.00 a.m. location Minos Restaurant
Kingston General Hospital is a great teaching hospital/trauma centre and depends on the support provided by the KGH Auxiliary to assist in the provision of Outstanding Care, Always.
